Plants are things wich I greatly affect,tough they do not speak, they can send you a message of love if you take good care of them. Flowers are one of them, it is beatiful, natural and a sign that your plant is happy! Have you ever seen a plant open a flower when no affection is givin to them. This is all in good fun and having a good time with creature that have only on goal, have more of them! This is my best home cooked advice, tough I know many wich are chemical based, this one is the most enjoyable. I d'ont want to reccomand a specific plant food, I would rather tell you some inxepensive and very | simple solutions. Other than compost you can add to your plants some Epsom salt wich is magnesium sulphate, a thing you can buy at pharmacy's and health food stores. Also you can add some beer and cola to nouurish the enzymes that break down the organic matter to simpler nutrient that plants can ingest. You simly mix a can of beer and a can of cola and add 25 ml. for each lt. of water and sprinkle a teaspoon of Epsom salt per square foot and BANG! One month later, giving the beer and cola mix every once a week and the Epsom salt every 2 weeks your plants will be happy! This is inexpensive and rather simple and will not pollute the earth with nitrogen (synthetic) and will keep you and your silly plants happy. Another thing is to add some cold tea(without cream or milk) with half water, on your seeds in earth wich the acids in the tea help to break the shell of the seed.
